Mr Jullus Mwongela Nkiriti
It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that the Nkiriti family announces the untimely promotion to eternal glory of Mr Jullus Mwongela Nkiriti, a retired accountant of Kenya Utalii College. Jullus was a devoted husband to Sarah Mwendwa Mwongela and loving father to Fred Mwongera (KRA) and Triza Nkonge (Business Lady). Alfred Temeshya (Businessman) and Irene Mwongera, Tony Mwongera and Gertrude Ntarangwl (KPLC). Martin Mwongera (ODPP) and Karel Mwenda (Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs). Doting granddad to Kiprop, Mwendwa, Mutethla, Kome, Muthoml, Kathure, Mugambl and Muriithi. Son of the late Harrison M'Nkirit and the late Clobalklyu, the late Clomubwika and Clotharichla. Affectionate brother to the late Ntarangwl, the late Kamunturlu, the late Mururu, Kalbung'a, Kirikiru, Munanu, Kajuju, Kabirithu, Kalnyorokia, Kinanu, the late Mwari, Karimi and Kanini. He mentored and Impacted the lives of many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Karlokor Methodist Church today (Wednesday 5th August 2026 at 3 p.m). Jullus will be laid to rest on Saturday 8th August at his Nchuul Home, Muthara, Tigania Sub-County. Meru County. In God's Hands You Rest; In Our Hearts You Live Forever. Beloved son of the late Umberto M'Gituma and late Edwige Gakii of Kaguma, Gaitu Location. He was husband of the late Mrs Pierina Kaimuri Gituma and Catherine Kaburi. Loving father of Thomas Gituma & Winnie Karimi, Felix Murithi & Joseline Kaari, Christine Gacheri & Joe Muthomi, late Mark Muriungi & Betty, Vincent Mutwiri & Beth Nchabira and Juster Kawira & Dismas Munene. Cherished brother of Ruben M. Gituma & Florence, late Moses Mbaabu Gituma & Janet, Salesio Gituma & late Stella, late Jenaro Murega & Joyce, David Mwenda & Juster, Jema Kaaria & William Kaaria, late Mary Kathira, Veronica Kiende & Joshua Kithinji. He was grandfather of late Ronnie, Robin, Rosena, Blessing, Yvonne, lan, Sean, Nicole, Jabali, Mitchell, Reagan, Allain, Washington, Solana, Adams, Enzo, late Chantelle and Gianna Tasha. Treasured uncle, cousin and friend to many. Friends and family are meeting daily at Paramount Hotel, Meru town and at his home Kiriinga village starting 5.30pm for prayers and funeral arrangements. The cortege will leave St Theresa Mission Hospital Funeral Home, Kiirua on Friday, 31st July, 2026, for Requiem Mass at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, Gachanka, followed by burial rites at his home in Gachanka - Kiriinga Village, Igoki Location, Imenti North, Meru County. Patrick Gikunda Kimathi
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Patrick Gikunda Kimathi, a retired Divisional Criminal Investigations Officer (DCIO), on 20th July 2026 after a short illness. Beloved husband of Jackline Mueni Gikunda; loving father of Lynet Gakii, the late Anthony Munene, Trevor Kitonga, and Bellamy Mwenda; and father in law of John Kyalo. Son of the late Geoffrey Kimathi and Janet Karambu. Step son of Harriet Kimathi. Son in law of Rebekkah Ndinda. Brother of Mwenda, Muthuri, the late Mukiri, Riungu, Mbaya, John, Kagwiria, Joyce, Mary, Muthomi, Mwirigi, and Mutethia; and brother in law of Beatrice, Gladys, Alice, and Vinolia. He was a cherished uncle, relative, and friend. Family and friends are meeting daily at Ruaraka Methodist Church from 6.00 p.m. for prayers and funeral arrangements. The funeral service and burial will be held on Tuesday, 4th August 2026, at his home in Imenti South, Ukuu Village, where he will be laid to rest. He was the beloved 2nd born son of Jackson Rutere Gitonga and Ruth Kinagwi and Julia Naltore. He was brother of Julius Mutal, Timothy Mwenda, Kelvin Murlungl. He was brother In-law of Mariam Ali. He was uncle of Brian Rutere, the late Niall Kimathi, Nillan Baraka, Nazil Koome, Elvis Gitonga, Nadiyya Kinya & Vannnesa Kendi. He was nephew of the late Magirl, Bernard Mwangi, Jane Muthoni, Esther Kaugi, Nelson Murithi, Eng Kirimi P. T. the late Daniel Mwobobia, M'gambi Gatonge, the late Julius Mbae, Gacheri Mwobobla, the late Jediel Kirimi, the late Harun Murlungi, Moses Kaungi, Gacherl. He was a cousin and friend to many. Family and friends are meeting daily at Total Petrol Station Thika Road opposite Garden City Mall as from 5:00pm and at his family home in Kigure Village, Kinoru - Meru County as from 4:00pm. The cortege will leave Cool Breeze Funeral Home on Friday 31st July 2026 at 9:00 am to proceed for a funeral mass at the family home in Kigure Village, Kinoru, Meru.
