Silah Otieno Ogutu Agwaro

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God's will that the Office of the Auditor-General (OAG) announces the passing on of Silah Otieno Ogutu Agwaro, which occurred on 16 July, 2026. He was the son of Mr. Gabriel Agwaro Ogutu and Mama Grace Ayieko Ogutu. He was a beloved husband of Syprine Akinyi Otieno and a loving father of Gerald Omondi, Joshua Biden, John Mark, Jeff Adrain and Stacy Martha (Nyarota). Brother of the late Mary Goretty Agwaro, the late Maurice Odhiambo Agwaro, Cyrilla Auma Agwaro, Andrew Ogutu Agwaro, Esther Akinyi Ogutu, Eng. Paul Agwaro and Anne Atieno Agwaro. Family and friends are meeting daily at his rural home in Ndhiwa, Kanyamwa Kayambo next to Nyamanga Primary School every evening for prayers and funeral arrangements. The cortege will leave Avenue Hospital Mortuary (Kisumu) on 30 July, 2026 at 10.00 a.m. The funeral service will be held at his home on 31 July, 2026 followed by interment at his home in Kanyamwa Kayambo of Ndhiwa Sub-County in Homa Bay County. Silah lived a life of service, integrity and compassion. He touched many lives through his warmth, generosity, humility and unwavering friendship. Though his sudden departure has left a great void in our hearts, his memories will forever remain with all who knew and loved him. "In God's hands you rest, in our hearts you live forever." The family of the late Evangelist Nancy Wangui Kariuki Obuya sincerely thanks the Almighty God for the life of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, relative, and friend, who tragically passed away on 13 July 2026 following a road traffic accident. Nancy was the beloved wife of Dr George Ouma Obuya (Formerly of Sony Sugar), loving mother of Everose Odeck and Polet Njeri, and cherished grandmother of Irvine Muganda. She was a dear sister of Josephine, Lucy, Charles, and the late Hannah. She was the daughter-in-law of the late Roseline Adoyo and the late John Obuya Adipo, and sister-in-law of Marren, Otieno, Kennedy, Richard, and the late Oduor. She was laid to rest at her family home in Omindi Village, Upper Kakwajuok in Homa Bay County on 24 July 2026. "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His faithful servants."- Psalm 116:15 Forever loved, forever remembered, forever in our hearts.

It is with great sorrow that we announce the untimely death of Dr. Daniel Odhiambo Dondi of Maseno University. He was the son of Bishop Michael Dondi and Lucia Were Dondi of Kokwanyo Sub-Location. The late Dr. Daniel Dondi was the husband of Mrs. Joyce Dondi of Komolo Comprehensive School. He was a father of four: Terry Achieng (UON). Lucy Dondi (Nakuru Girls High School), Paul Omine (Migosi SDA Comprehensive School) and Isdora Amondi (Komolo Comprehensive School) He was a brother of Julius Dondi, the late Samuel Dondi, Nicholas Dondi, Gorge, Maurice, Tobias, Florance Dondi, Loyce Dondi, Benedetta, Millicent, Susan among others. His sisters in-law are Loyce Okumu, Elizabeth Owiro among others. His nephews are Michael, Derrick, Dondi, Emmanuel, Alfred, Lord Dondi, Melack among others. He was a son in-law of the late Eng. Peter Obika and Christine Obika. Brother-in-law of Fredrick Ocholla and Becky Ocholla. A memorial service will be held at Milimani Catholic Church in Kisumu on 30th of July 2026 from 10:00 am. After the service the cortege will then leave Kisumu for home in Kokwanyo Village for an evening mass at Radienya Catholic Church in Kabongo Village. He shall be laid to rest on 31st of July 2026. In God's hands you rest, in our hearts you live forever.
