It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God's will that we announce the passing on to Glory of brother Barnabas Kangogo Kimatoi, formerly of KEMRI, which occurred on Sunday, 26th July 2026 after a short illness at Coptic Hospital. He was the beloved son of Kimatol Kipkiror and Florah Chesang of Koyoln Village, Kibiryokwonin Sub-Location, Yatya Location, Salmo/Sol Ward, Baringo North Sub-County, Baringo County. He was the beloved husband of Emmy Tarus (AHITI). Cherished father of Brian Kiptoo, Brayden Yego (Excel Academy) and Breanna Jeruto (Excel Academy). Adored brother of Bernard Kimatol (AAR Healthcare). Lillan Kimatol (Judiciary). Samson Kimatol (Nairobi), Enock Kimatol (Judiciary), Dorcas Kimatol (Eldoret). Janet Kimatol (KEMRI). Son-in-law of the late Jonathan Tarus and Rosaline Tarus. Brother-in-law of Rhodah, Joan, Jedidah, Reuben, Faith, Daisy, Laban, Caroline, Eric, Benson and others. Undle and cousin to many. A fundraiser will be held on Wednesday, 5th August 2026, from 4:00 PM at CITAM Valley Road. A Requiem Mass will be held on Thursday, 6th August 2026, at New Apostolic Church South C. Nairobi. Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Koyoin Village (Kipsaraman), Baringo County and at CITAM Valley Road, Nairobi beginning 4PM for funeral and burial arrangements. The cortege leaves Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home, Nairobi on Friday 7th August 2026 at 7am for home. The funeral service and burial will take place on Saturday, 8th August 2026, at his home in Koyoin Village (Kipsaraman), Baringo North, Baringo County. Barnaba's kindness, laughter, and love will remain with us always. We trust that God has welcomed him into eternal rest beyond the pain of this world.
