It is with profound sorrow and humble acceptance of God's will that we announce the passing of Mama Ludia Festo Kisiero (Gogo) on 22nd July 2026 at TopHill Hospital, Eldoret. Mama Ludia was the beloved wife of the late Mzee Festo Kisiero of the Kamusareek Clan, Wamono Village, Bungoma West, and daughter of the late Barnaba Chemiat of the Kamugeek Clan of Korosiandet. She was sister of Erna, Maghas, Alice, Wilson, John (late), Mary, Temgo, and Rose, and stepsister of the late Boiyo, Juma, Chemiat, Kisami, and Kisach, Mtenyo, Beatrice, Evans and Lusike. She was sister-in-law of Hon. Wilberforce Kisiero (Former MP for Mt. Elgon Constituency), Daudi Kisiero (Kapsokwony), Irene Tawarar (Kibindoi), and Loise Kisiero (Kapsokwony). She was a loving mother of Maurice, Chapman, Philip, Deborah, Susan, Milka, Wilson (UNICEF), Dorcas (Sweden), and Silas, and stepmother to Geoffrey and Victor. She was a grandmother of Francis, Davies, M Michael, Esther, and Paul (Maurice); Edwin, Irene, Lydia, Daudi, Precious, and Maria (Chapman); Raymond, Diana, and Daphne (Philip); Bernard, Job, Cynthia, and Lydia (Deborah); Tracy (Susan); Sharon (Milka); Irene (Australia), Ashley (Australia), Michelle, and Joseph (Wilson); Mathew (Dorcas); and Angelo, Valencia, and Georgina (Silas). She was also a proud great-grandmother to many and will be fondly remembered by her extended family, relatives, friends, and all whose lives she touched. Funeral preparations and prayer meetings are being held daily from 2:00 p.m. at the family home in Wamono Village, Bungoma West. The cortège will leave Delight Funeral Home, Kimilili, on Thursday, 6th August 2026 at 2:00 p.m. The funeral service and burial will take place on Friday, 7th August 2026, at her matrimonial home in Wamono Village, Bungoma West. Devoted husband of Margret Osamong and loving father of Gregory, Nancy, Rebecca, Miriam, Gideon, Faith, and Flora. He was father-in-law of John Murumba, Sagwe, Mercy, and Glory. Brother of the late Sylvester, the late Jane, Fridah, and Mary, and cousin of the Ochoglas, the late Simon, Alem, Raymond, Patrick, and Francis. He was also a cherished brother-in-law of the Wakofula family. Mary. Frederick, Bernard, Carolyne, Eunice, Rosy, Colleta, Naomi, Ruth, Catherine, Henry. Teresa, and Jimmy. Uncle of Joan, Henry, Eunice, Julian, Jackline, Ruth, Pauline, Sarah, Jemima, Lillan, Benedete, Stephen, Irine, Emmanuel, Pamela, Anne, Florah, Stephen, Susan, Dickson, Julius, Lorna, Jane, Isaac, Anthony and the Imujaros. Cousin of Idudes and Ekrapas. He leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: Sifuma, Mike, Andrew, Becky. Jane, Della, Alpho, and Michael, who will forever cherish his love and guidance. The body will leave Kiminini Cottage Hospital on Thursday, 6th August 2026, and the burial service will take place at his home in Kakamwe Farm, Tongaren, on Friday, 7th August 2026.
