Beloved husband of Mrs. Jane Achieng' Odiko, Director of Rockville Junior Academy. Father of Naisula, Martha, Susan, Aloise, Robert and Adelaide. Grandfather of Nashe, Jabali, Heri, Jayda and Emeta. Father-in-law of Edward Kimotho, Timothy Ohanya and Ivy Oduor. Son of the late Liberatus Odiko & the late Felistas Ogutu & also Mama Florence Odiko of Gem Rae, Nyakach. Brother of the late Dr. Pius Okelo (former director of Makini Schools) and the late Symphorosa Were Ouma (Nyar Rae), Paul Ogutu, David, Martha & Jane amongst others. Son-in-law of the late Meshack Owuor & Prisca Owuor. Brother-in-law of Dr. Mary Okelo (former director of Makini Schools), the late Tom Owuor, the late Samuel Owuor, Alice Okuma, George Owuor, Paul Owuor, Hesbon Owuor and Harrison Owuor. The body is lying at Kenyatta National Hospital Farewell Home. There will be a requiem mass at Holy Family Basilica on 6th August 2026 from 10:00 a.m. He will be laid to rest at his home in Kisumu along Kisumu-Kakamega road on 8th August 2026.

Father of Alistair Okoth Otieno and Natasha Zaituni Otieno. Brother of Samuel Onyango, the late Agnes Akinyi Dawo, the late Peter Chuka and Millicent Awuor. Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his home in Savannah Estate, Imani Court house No 233 for prayers and funeral arrangements. The cortège leaves Umash Funeral Home on Thursday 30th July 2026 for a night vigil followed by the burial on Friday 31st July at his rural home in Kisumu County, North Nyakach Division, Gem Rae Location, Kawa Kungu Village. Son of the late Patrick and Magdaline Nyaoke. He was a loving husband of Hellen Nyaoke. Father of Peter Odhiambo (Kutner), Georgina Otieno, Phelma Otieno, the late Winny and the late Enid. Brother of the late Philister, the late Consolata, John, Fransisca, Mary and Ann of KFS. Brother-in-law of Zippora Nyaoke uncle and cousin of many. Son-in-law of the late Astariko Yoga and Mary Yoga of Nyakach Olwalo. Until his demise Emmanuel was the Chairperson of Development Ogango PAG church, Manager Outrigger Hotel Awasi and Chairperson Council of Elders Waswa Village. He was a loving and caring brother, uncle and grandfather of many. The cortege leaves Bethlehem Funeral home on 7th August 2026 for a church service at Ogango PAG church. The cortege leaves for his home in Waswa Village Kisumu County for overnight vigil. Burial is on 8th August 2026. In the Lord's arms you rest, in our hearts live forever. Amen

He was the beloved husband of Dorine Omolo Owaka and loving father of Charles Owaka (National Police Service); Mary Owaka (Radiro Primary School, Homa Bay); Bertha Owaka (Rachuonyo County Hospital, Oyugis); Simon Peter Owaka (Nairobi); Caren Owaka (Connecticut, USA); Millicent Owaka (God Puro Primary, Homa Bay): Susan Owaka and Margaret Owaka (both of Ministry of Defence, Nairobi); Nelly Owaka (Pala Masogo Primary, Rongo); and Ruth Osomo (Wuon Akiny!) of Maseno. He was father-in-law of Arthur Nyawara (Karanda Secondary School, Ahero); Naftali Onyango (OLM Ringa Boys); Dr. John Osambo (Connecticut, USA): Jullus Awuor (Sony Sugar); Denis Onam (Siger Secondary School, Rarleda); Maurice Otieno (KDF); Magdalene Odhiambo (Kisumu); and Celestine Awuor (Oletepesi Primary School, Kajlado). He was blessed with 36 grandchildren and 5 great- grandchildren. Son of the late Jaduong' Isalah Osomo Akinyl and the late Mikayi Obunge Kima". Brother of the late Ambrose Olang'o and the late Japuonj George Orao. Stepson of the late Rosa Ayako and Jael Aplyo. Son-in-law of the late Jaduong Nashon Hagol and the late Mama Agneta Hagol. Brother-in-law of the late Gilbert Ochleng Hagol, Hezekiah Muruka, Peres Ochieng Ayub Hagol, Tabitha Aplyo, Jacob Odongo and Jeje Hagol. He was 'Nyawana' of the late Emmanuel Ogogo and the late Dorine Atleno of Kochla; the late Harun Nyawara and the late Bethsheba Ngore of Kisumu Korando; the late Trass Onyango and Mama Maritha Onyango of Songhor, the late John William Otieno and Mama Rose Otieno of Kochia; the late Washington Ong'any and the late Margaret Owuonda of Kano Kamagaga; Lawrence Olang' and Mama Elizabeth Ogutu of Kagan, the late Peter Ngore and Nelly Ngore of Seme Reru; and the late Joseph Onyango and Mama Grace Aplyo of Kochia. The cortege will leave Kwee Funeral Parlour at JOOTRH, Kisumu, on Thursday, 30th July 2026, for a requiem mass at the St. John's ACK Church, Ong'tyo, followed by an overnight vigil at his home. The funeral and burial will take place on Friday, 31st July 2026, at his home in Ong'iyo Village, N.E. Karateng Location, Kisumu West Sub-County, Kisumu County, under the leadership of the ACK St. John's Ong'lyo Parish, Diocese of Maseno South. Rest in eternal peace, Mwalimu Benjamin Anthony Owaka.
