The Life of Patrick
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Patrick Gikunda Kimathi, a retired Divisional Criminal Investigations Officer (DCIO), on 20th July 2026 after a short illness.
Beloved husband of Jackline Mueni Gikunda; loving father of Lynet Gakii, the late Anthony Munene, Trevor Kitonga, and Bellamy Mwenda; and father in law of John Kyalo. Son of the late Geoffrey Kimathi and Janet Karambu. Step son of Harriet Kimathi. Son in law of Rebekkah Ndinda.
Brother of Mwenda, Muthuri, the late Mukiri, Riungu, Mbaya, John, Kagwiria, Joyce, Mary, Muthomi, Mwirigi, and Mutethia; and brother in law of Beatrice, Gladys, Alice, and Vinolia.
He was a cherished uncle, relative, and friend.
Family and friends are meeting daily at Ruaraka Methodist Church from 6.00 p.m. for prayers and funeral arrangements. The funeral service and burial will be held on Tuesday, 4th August 2026, at his home in Imenti South, Ukuu Village, where he will be laid to rest.
