Wilbert Orina Ombaba

We regret to announce the passing of Wilbert Orina Ombaba, the Principal of Enkinda Secondary School. He previously served as Principal of Borangi Secondary School, Rabwao Secondary School, and St. Thomas Turwa Secondary School. He hailed from Getaseni Village, Amabuko Sub-Location, Irianyi Location, Masaba South Sub-County, Kisii County. Son of the late Barnabus Ombaba Gekonge and the late Sibia Nyambane Ombaba.

Step-son of Hellen Ombaba. Son-in-law of the late Christopher Magembe and the late Eunice Nyanchama Magembe. Husband of Josephine Bonareri Magembe. Father of Duncan Ombaba, Harriet Kemunto and Ivan Okindo. Brother of Osano, Elizabeth, Hellen, Miriam, Ruth, Grace, Gekonge, Bichage, Jane, Douglas, Flora, Kerubo, Gideon, Jemimah, Mourine, the late Mosinya and the late Ombaba Junior. Nephew of the late Ochi, the late Oboi, the late Ragira, the late Mogaka, Mogere, Nyanchama and Kwamboka.

The cortege leaves Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital Mortuary on Tuesday. 11/08/2026 for an overnight vigil at his home. The burial service will be held on Wednesday, 12/08/2026 at his home in Getaseni,Amabuko Sub-Location.
