Vitalis Ochieng Adida

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God's will that we announce the passing of our beloved Vitalis Ochieng Adida, which occurred on Monday, 27th July 2026.

Son of the late Thomas Adida Awino and the late Juliana Oulu Adida. Husband of Hon. Lorna Achieng Ochieng Adida. Brother of the late Patrick Adongo Adida, the late Joseph Ngoga Adida, Domtila Onyango Adida, the late Margaret Awala, Gabriel Onyango Adida, Pamela Awino Adida, the late Morris Otieno Adida, the late Samuel Ogutu Adida, the late Jacob Odhiambo Adida, the late Erick Okoth Adida, Emily Adhiambo Adida, Evelyn Achieng Adida, and Hellen Atieno Adida. Father of Julius Oulu Ochieng, Lynnet Awino Ochieng, Dennis Ngoga Ochieng and Patrick Abwao Ochieng. Father-in- law of Vanessa Mwamburi, Julian Okoma, Anne Njeri and Lyn Bonareri. Grandfather of Miriam Habiba, Amara Herine Oulu, Arianna Maya Oulu, Taavi Mariette Okoma and Nolan Adida Ngoga.

Cousin of William Yongo, Peter Nyawanda.Jared Awino, Thomas Rakudhi, George Nyawanda, and Ngesa Nyawanda. Uncle of Christopher Awino, Steven Osimbo, Justin Wameyo, Eunice Akinyi, Douglas Ouma, Stephen Odhiambo, Nancy Atieno, Julianna Anyango, Rosemary Abwao, Dan Ngoga, Edward Ngoga, Prisca Ngoga, Julius Ngoga, Irene Ngoga, Joyce Ngoga, Marrel Okoth, Bravin Okoth, Erika Okoth and Gavvin Nimrod and the late Kennedy Ngoga, Beryl Atieno and Caren Anyango.

He will be fondly remembered by his extended family, relatives, friends, neighbours, colleagues, and all whose lives he touched through his kindness, humility, generosity, and unwavering love for his family.

FUNERAL ARRANGEMENT: The requiem mass will be held on Thursday, 20th August 2026, at St. Veronicah Catholic Church, Syokimau. The cortege will thereafter proceed to his home in Abom Village, Bondo Sub-County, Siaya, where the funeral service and burial will take place on Saturday, 22nd August 2026.
