It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing on of Selestina Veronica Kilela on Thursday 23rd July 2026. Wife of Titus Matilu Kilela. Loving mother of Caroline, Scolastica, Cecilia, Benjamin, Alfonce and Salome. Grandmother of Chelsea, Loraine, Aviva, Jonathan, Vania, Kai Perpetual, Peter and Maxine. Great grandmother of Nuria Hassan and Arian Hassan. Daughter of the late Nzioka Kiama and the late Catherine Nzioka of Miwani lower Kiandani, Machakos County.
Sister of the Late John Kiseli, the late Fred Makau, the late Anna Mwikali, the late Jackson Kivaya, Peter Munyao, David Ben and Annastacia Mbula. Daughter-in-law of the late Josiah Kilela Musei and the late Vilisa Kavindu of Majimboni, Shimba-Hills, Kwale County. Sister-in-law of Joseph Henry, the late James Muthama, Daniel Muoki, the late Patrick Mukua, Judah Sila, Joyce Mutuota and the late Jacinta Mutile.
Family and friend are meeting daily at their home at Katheka Kai, Mua Ward, Near Katethya Secondary School from 4pm. The Cortege will leave Montezuma funeral home, Machakos on Monday 3rd August 2026 at 5pm for an overnight Vigil at the home. The Funeral Mama Selestina Service will be held on Tuesday 4th August 2026 at St Stephen's Catholic Church, Katheka Kai from 9am.
Thereafter, burial will Veronica Matilu take place at their home at Kikuluni Village, Katheka Kai
