The Life of Roberts
It is with humble acceptance of God's will that we announce the death of Roberts Osano Obiri. He was a great educationist who retired in 2016 as a CSO in Nyamira County. Son of the late Obiri Nyakeinami and the late Monchari Obiri. Step-son of Nyamoita Obiri and Kwamboka Obiri. Son-in-law of the late Obuya Mogiri and Peris Kemunto Obuya.
Husband of Teresa Kwamboka Obiri. Father of Justus Osano, Judith Osano (Eronge Senior School), Cyprian Osano (Kiabonyoru Senior School), Beatrice Osano (Molo Greens).
Father-in-law of Nancy Orina, Byrrum Obwocha (Esise Comprehensive School). Naom Okeiga (Kineni Calvary Comprehensive School).
Grandfather of Gekonge, Triza, Euvine, Obwocha, Ceddy, Motondo, Quieta, Nyakoboke, Osanos, Teresa, Monchari and Gwoma.
Brother of the late Machini,the late Onchweri, the late Moraa, the late Gwoma Askah
Masese, Joyce Bosibori, the late Gekonge, Peter Nyakundi and Martha Nyabairi.
Prayers and funeral arrangements are being held daily at his home in Kineni Settlement Scheme, Borabu, Nyamira County.
The cortege leaves St. Joseph's Hospital morgue on Thursday 13th August 2026 for a requiem mass at St. Andrews Nyansiongo parish, thereafter proceed to his Kineni home for an overnight vigil. He will be laid to rest on Friday, 14th August 2026 at his Kineni home in Borabu Sub-County, Nyamira County.
