The Life of Isabell
It is with profound sadness, but with thanksgiving, that we announce the passing of Isabell Silava (Nthamba) Muroki on 1st August 2026, after an illness bravely borne.
Isabell was the beloved wife of Fredrick Muroki Grieve and the loving mother of Stephen Mungal Muroki. She was the daughter of the late Tabitha and Stephen Musylmi Kisilu of Riakanau, Mwea, Embu County.
She was the sister of the late David Kisilu Musyimi, Kim Musylmi, Mutava Musyimi, John Musyimi, Rahab Mulu. Litha Musylmi-Ogana, and Zippy Musyimi.
She was the sister-in-law of Mary Nyadundu, the late Geoffrey Njunge, Francis Njenga, John Kairu, Ann Ngoiri, Esther Nyokabi, the late Daniel Blaru, Rosemary, Ruth Musylmi, Nyambura Musylmi, and the late Eng, Sam Mulu.
She was a beloved aunt of Tabitha, Hellen, the late Musee, Mwikali, Joshua, Tana, Ula, Musee, Eva, Mueni, Syano, Mull, Stephen, Mwanzia, Janet, Silava, Victor, Stephen, Tanya, Biku, Mwende, Wanjiku and Thumbi, among many others, and many loving cousins from the Muroki and Kisilu families. Family meetings will be held daily at her family home in Rironi from Monday 3rd August, to Monday. 10th August, 2026.
Funeral meetings will also be held on Wednesday, 5th August, at Nairobi Baptist Church at 5:30 p.m., and on Thursday, 6th August, at All Saints Cathedral at 5:30 p.m. A thanksgiving service celebrating Isabell's life will be held at her home church, St. Emmanuel ACK Church, Riakanau, Embu, on Sunday, 9th August 2026, at 10:30a.m.
The cortege will leave M.P. Shah Hospital Mortuary at 9:00 am on Tuesday, 11th August 2026, for the funeral service at ACK All Saints Kamonde, which will begin at 11:00 a.m. She will thereafter be laid to rest at her home in Rironi at 2:00 p.m.
