It is with humble acceptance of God's will that we announce the passing of George Mwakuriga, who peacefully went to be with the Lord on 25th July 2026 after a period of illness. Beloved husband of Eunice Mwakuriga. Beloved son of the late Harun W. Mlagui and the late Delina Majala Mlagui. Loving brother of Eunice Mlagui, Emmanuel Mwashila, David Tama, Lt Col (Rtd) Joel Mshindo, Dorothy Mlagui and the late James Mwanjewe. Devoted father of the late Harun Mlagui, Delina Majala, Sophia Mkawasi and Jacob Mwakugu. Cherished grandfather of Imani, Zach, Baraka, Šere, Chidima, Noah, Shali, George, Sante, and many other beloved grandchildren. Beloved uncle of Hon. Majala Mlagui, Harun Mwashila, Dora Waldo, Louisa Majala, Laura Wavua, Stella Andenyi, Hellen Amaya, Harun Mshindo and Felix Mshindo and many other beloved nieces and nephews. Julia Amaya, the late Julius Wamada, the late Morris Kiwinda, Grace Uyoga, Joan Lwembe, the late Anna Sere, Kitonga Mwakughu, Damaris Kamau, Victoria Mwakughu and Benjamin Mwakughu. The list of friends is infinite because George's unwavering support, unconditional love, and endless sacrifices was felt by many. George was a pioneering resident of Mazola Drive, Milimani Estate, Kitengela, and a respected businessman whose integrity, generosity and commitment to his family and community earned him the admiration of many. The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home Machakos on Tuesday, 4th August 2026, for a memorial service at ICC Kitengela from 10am to 12pm, after which he will be laid to rest at his family home on Mazola Drive, Milimani Estate, Kitengela. Friends and relatives are meeting daily at the family residence. A fundraising meeting in support of the funeral arrangements will be held on Saturday. 1st Aug 2026, from 2 pm. at Wobs Carwash & Lounge, Milimani Road, opposite Enkare Club, Kitengela.
