The Life of Betty
With heavy hearts but trusting in God's perfect will, we announce the demise of Betty Mutio Munguti, who passed away on 5th July 2026 in Delaware, USA, after a short illness.
She dedicated her life to teaching and over the years, served in several schools across Machakos County before retiring. She was the beloved daughter of the late James Munguti and the late Sarah Nzau. She was the loving mother of Dr. Mercy Williams, Sylvia Mueni, Anthony Miron and Caroline Kwanya. She was a beloved grandmother of II grandchildren and had one great-grandchild. She was the loving sister of the late Susan, the late Nthambi, the late Nzau, Mutiso, Muthini, Munyaka and Muoti.
She was a sister-in-law of William Ziro, Mary Mutiso, Emily Munyaka, the late Benjamin and Livu Ivuli. She was mother-in-law of Jide Daramola, Zachary Kwanya and Nancy Ngari. She was a devoted guardian and mother figure of Mambo, Ngina, Tom and Vicky. She was a loving aunt of Safari, Saro, Fahari, Mwende, Mutua, Mbisi, the late Kyalo, Mutio, Nthenya, Muthoki, Mbithe and Nzau and a cousin to many.
Family, relatives, friends and well-wishers are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at her home in Itimboni, Kyumbi, Machakos.
The funeral service will be held on Friday. 7th August 2026, at C.R.E.M. Community Church, Kyumbi, followed by burial at her home in Itimboni, Kyumbi (Mulinge Drive) Machakos.
